Your role as a volunteer

Volunteers will participate in the improvement of various subjects for students, especially in the subjects such as English, mathematics, arts and crafts. In order to encourage more volunteers to participate in the program, we give detailed workbooks and guidelines for teaching. Volunteers assist with teaching through creative and interactive teaching methods that make learning interesting and fun for the children.

Tasks and assignments as a volunteer at the orphanage can be:

  • Assisting local teachers in teaching of English, mathematics and social skills
  • Extra help for the those who needs it
  • Helping teachers to make teaching more fun for the children.
  • Games and sports activities
  • Create fun games and activities that stimulate children

The Project’s Mission

Volunteers make a significant contribution to the children in Thailand through their involvement. By providing these children with a bit of stability they are offering the children a new perspective on life as well as offering new opportunities for them.

Your Everyday Life

You fly to Chiang Mai and on arrival you will be greeted by a staff member from our local partner organization. The project starts with an introduction to prepare you for your working assignments; you will be orientated around the project area and learn a bit about the Thai culture.

Accommodation and food

The accommodation for volunteers is located in Amphure Muang, an area of Chiang Mai. The main building offers a quiet and peaceful environment for the volunteers to relax and participate in their projects. You will be offered three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The main building offers:

  • Air-conditioned rooms with private bathroom
  • Internet
  • Shared living room with satellite -TV
  • Dining room

For the volunteer’s convenience and safety, there are following staffs on site at the accommodation:

  • Site Manager, who is responsible for the safety and welfare of the participants.
  • Support staff, such as chef, maid, transport manager, etc.

When you’re not working you are free to explore Thailand on your own. Your project coordinator can help you with tips on destinations and activities during weekends. If you want to have an extra day off, you need to announce in advance to your work place your plan that you will be away. Or if you want to relax and stay near the project, there is a TV with DVD in the main building where you can watch a movie or hang out with the other volunteers.

Experience more

Thailand is a country that has much to offer. In Thailand, there is something for everyone, our local partners will be happy to book any excursions on location.

About Thailand

Friendly and fun-loving, exotic and tropical, cultured and historic; Thailand beams with a lustrous hue from its gaudy temples and golden beaches, to the ever-comforting Thai smile. Beyond the beaches, there is a fascinating country with a great culture and tremendous hospitality. The celestial world is a close confidant in this Buddhist nation, where religious devotion is a colourful and ubiquitous spectacle. Gleaming temples and golden Buddha’s frame both the rural and modern landscape with exuberance. With Thailand’s exotic beaches and tropical forests there is no time for being bored, with too much to explore and discover.
