Brazil is the largest country in South America, in both ways the surface and the population. There are many and vast natural resources, and it has one of the best economies in the continent. Independence from the coloniser Portugal was recognized in 1825, but Portuguese is still the official language. Brazilians are life-affirming, passionate and casual, but the contrasts between rich and poor are huge and there are many people who live in difficult conditions. By working as a volunteer, you get the opportunity to get to know the country in depth and make a difference for some of the people there. We offer a variety of volunteer programs in Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and in north-eastern Brazil. On every project, we work closely with experienced local organizers

Liability insurance applies to instances when compensation for damages is demanded of you, as a private person, for unintentionally hurting someone or for unintentionally damaging someone else’s property.
It is the volunteers responsibility to acquire the right visa for the trip. Different visa rules may apply depending on your nationality. Visit the embassy web page of your destination to find out what the visa terms are between your country and that destination.
